Releases, answers & collecting guides.

Choose a goal you enjoy: a favorite Pokémon, an artist, a set, or a playable deck. Set a budget before buying. Singles let you choose exactly what you collect; opening packs is a surprise, with no guarantee of a specific card.

Match the printed name, collector number, set symbol or code, language, and artwork. Then check the finish and any stamps. Two cards with the same Pokémon and artwork can belong to different releases or printings, with different prices.

No. Rarity describes a card within its release, while price also depends on demand, condition, language, finish, and supply. Compare the exact version. A rarity label or shiny surface alone does not establish value.

Compare printing, spelling, artwork, and materials with a known authentic example. Be cautious with unusually cheap offers and unclear seller photos. A listing match on CardboardDex does not authenticate the card; seek an experienced seller or professional opinion when uncertain.

Sealed products are unopened retail products, such as booster packs, boxes, and Elite Trainer Boxes. Their prices represent the whole product, not one card inside. On Pokémon profiles, sealed products are hidden by default and can be shown with the visibility button.

Catalog and market-price observations come from TCG API. eBay comparisons come from matched active asking-price listings. Asking prices are not completed sales, and a title match is not proof of authenticity. Check the exact product, printing, condition, and price timestamp.

A missing price means we do not have a usable observation for that item; it does not mean the card is worth zero. Prices depend on provider coverage and synchronization. A stale label warns that the observation is older. Check the displayed date before comparing values.

No. These tools compare observed prices. Actual proceeds depend on the sale price, fees, shipping, taxes, grading costs, condition, and whether a buyer purchases the item. A potential PSA 10 price does not mean your raw card will receive that grade.

The count and total price describe the cards or products currently shown after filtering. Missing prices are excluded from the sum and identified. Highest Value Card always excludes sealed products. The loaded list is limited, so these are not totals for every card ever printed.

The collection binder is stored in this browser on this device. It is not an account-based cloud collection. Clearing site storage or using another browser can remove or hide that local collection. Card IDs are sent to our backend when requesting valuations.

Yes. Use the language controls on catalog, Pokémon profile, and sealed pages. English and Japanese releases can differ in names, contents, dates, and prices; compare each language separately.

Recently viewed cards are remembered in this browser for up to 30 days, with at most 12 unique cards. The homepage lets you clear that history. This does not delete your binder, and it does not synchronize your viewing history to other devices.

CardboardDex is a catalog and comparison website, not a checkout or a retailer. Shopping links take you to another site. Check that site's seller, item details, shipping, and return terms before ordering.

The calendar shows site-owner expected windows: Target Tuesday/Thursday at midnight and Walmart Wednesday at 6 PM, in fixed PST (UTC−8). These are not confirmed drops. Pokémon Center history includes recent openings 37 days before release; one-month watch reminders are labeled estimates and disappear when a reported date is known. Restocks remain uncertain.

A complete official set-by-set production list was not available in our research. We show Unknown unless a dated, set-specific source supports a status. Pokémon's general reprint statement does not confirm every set. Sold out, an older release date, or rotation from tournament play does not prove a set is out of print.

No. A set release launches an expansion. A preorder lets you order before a product ships. A restock makes an existing product available again. Different boxes using the same set's packs can release on different dates, and a product release date does not specify a retailer's checkout time.

No. This is a researched calendar, not a live inventory monitor. Each researched entry includes its source and review date. Retailer pages can change, and marketplace offers may come from third-party sellers. Confirm availability directly with the retailer.

Yes. The physical Pokémon TCG uses 60-card decks. A ready-to-play deck can provide an easier starting point than random booster packs. For organized play, check the current event rules and legal cards before building your deck.
